Elk Mound Seed

My level of disappointment cannot be overstated. When looking for grass seed online, I had saw a 10% Welcome discount. I went to the store the next day to get the #50 bag of seed and mentioned the discount. I was told that that was only ‘on line’. I asked if there was possible to order it on line, right then and there to pick it up? They said OK. I get my cell phone and attempted to do so. I could not get it to work. I was then told that the “Mobil site” might be different. I asked for help, but received very little. I am both retired and disabled. I am not a smart phone wiz. They would not give me the discount without me ordering it online. I was not about to drive an hour round trip, just to place the order on my desk top. Then, when I went to pay for it, I was asked cash or charge? Luckily, I was smart enough to ask if there was an extra charge for credit cards. There is. On Debt cards as well. It is not posted anywhere at the check out or throughout the building, that I could see. This was my first experience with Elk Mound seed. It will be my last as well. I totally feel cheated as I can go onto my desktop and receive the discount. They would do nothing to

The two men I talked to were wonderful and full of knowledge. We have every intention of returning for more seed when we have the need.

Went to Elk Mound Seed to get some food plot seed and It really could not have been a better experience. The guy working in there was friendly and knowledgeable about everything they had and recommended a couple good seed mixes for late planting. Gave us a true and honest assessment about what we can expect to grow and what might not grow before season. Ended up getting a couple options for seed and a couple other things. Will definitely get all my plot seed here. Go and buy with confidence.

Today we took a drive out to Elk Mound Seed and I am so glad we did. Not only do they offer amazing prices on their bird seed but the employees are amazing. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot we were welcomed by a gentleman riding a forklift. We were immediately greeted upon entering the store by another young man. They brought our seed out to our vehicle and loaded it up for us.

Update: Looking at this businesses reviews I decided to give them a second chance, and I'm glad I did. I must have been in on an off day, because the difference between then and now was like night and day. They were quick, and extremely responsive despite it being much busier in there today. First impressions don't need to endure, and their service today has changed my mind. I will be back for sure!
